Located on the famous Algarve coast, the Meia Praia beach is the largest in the Lagos region. Compared to other, more tourist-filled parts of Algarve, Meia Praia is a four-kilometer-long oasis of gorgeous golden sand and calm. There are also cafes and bars dotted along the coastline. The Western edge of the beach is slightly busier due to its proximity to Lagos.
Meia Praia is also a popular center for water sports including windsurfing, kite surfing, and jet skiing. Visitors can pay for lessons and hire equipment. For the less adventurous, a dip in the refreshing cold water and a lie-down on a lounger under an umbrella, also available for rent.
FRANCE: Plage de Senix, GuétharyClosest train station: Gare de Guéthary just 2.1km away, easily walkable but you could take a quick taxi ride to the sea.
